Hey oh sailor!

If you land on this page, it means that you are now a bizuth of INSA Lyon! First things first, all of our congratulations! On this website you will find many things: the theme of your integration, informations about life at INSA, on the classes, and without a doubt the answer to most of your questions regarding INSA Lyon, so read it well, it’s important! The CDPs (standing for “Comité De Parrainage” in French,) have prepared this website just for you!

And don’t worry if there are words that you don’t understand: consult the lexicon where they are explained and once at INSA, I can assure you that you’ll get along with it! (Word of a former bizuth)

I leave you now with the word to the parents and our Team Site Resp’s word.

Word to the parents

Dear mommies, dear daddies, or any of our new pirate’s family member,

That’s it, your child has been admitted at INSA Lyon for the coming year, and as of next fall, he’s going to board a new boat, on which he will stay for the five following years! For this, he will probably leave his one and only home: your house, and you will not be able to watch him over night and day anymore, at least only from afar!

But for this new part of his life, he will not be alone. Indeed, we will all be there to accompany him for his first steps as a pirate, to support him and answer all his questions. All the Aladdins (2nd years), and mostly his parrain or marraine, will welcome him as soon as he arrives in September. This website was made to answer many questions, and for you and your approximately-18-years-old-child to understand how the arrival is going to happen, so feel free to read everything.

He will also be surrounded by his family (promised, you will always remain his real family), which will be here to share big meals every evening, to have fun and chill out, and many other great activities.

Our pirate will then be welcomed aboard the INSA Black Pearl, get to know many other pirates, and create friendships with people from all around the world. This is the goal of the integration; but don’t be worried, although our little pirates are soon going to be called our bizuth, at INSA there isn’t any hazing of any kind, and it’s a much nicer expression than “newcomer”… I think you will agree with this. The only purpose of this inté is for your child to take his mark in his new school.

To conclude, you can be reassured because your child is not going to be stranded on any island, he will never be alone, and we will do everything we can to make him feel as welcomed as possible so that he can tackle this new journey in all serenity for him, as for you.

Romane, CdPs’ Resp

The resp's word

Hi there, young pirate,

As you might have understood thanks to the design of this magnificent website, the theme of your integration is Pirate of the Caribbean and believe me, it’s gonna be unforgettable! It’s during this inté that you will have your first encounters and your first parties that will remain engraved forever in your memory (if you remember them). But not only! The integration, it’s also many activities carefully prepared by the “Comité De Parrainage” team (the CDPs), you’ll find more informations about the integration in the “Arrival on the Black Pearl” tab.

Notice that you did the right choice in joining the INSA Lyon. You’re about to live the 5 best years of your life. You will evolve in an incredible environment with people who will support you and always be there for you, whether it’s your pirate buddies, your parrain/marraine, your cobiz, the teachers and more generally all the people living on the campus.

To get started on good bases, I invite you to join the Facebook group of your promo by clicking the button just below. If you don’t have Facebook, it’s important that you create an account to join the group otherwise you might miss out on important informations (we use Facebook a lot at INSA you’ll see).

In addition, if you have other questions after reading this beautiful website, this Facebook group is also there for you.

Then, it’s very important that you send us your questionnaire (everything is explained is the “questionnaire” tab don’t worry) which will enable us to attribute you a marraine or parrain that corresponds to you and with whom you’ll get along. He’ll be here to help you do your first steps, guide you, support you. In brief, he’ll become your new Dad/Mom and you’ll see that he/she will become someone special for you.

To finish, also remember to buy your “Vie Associative” card (“VA card”) and to take your place for the WEI : it’s the Integration Week-End (yes in addition to the week) where you will (again) make new friends.

PS: Careful, the number of places is limited!

I know it’s already a lot of informations given all at once, but don’t worry, we’ve summarized everything you need to do before (and the day of) your arrival in the “Logbook”.

Thanks to everyone in the website team (and Mathéo) without whom you wouldn’t have this website before your eyes. In the meantime, go and see their dedications HERE. Really looking forward to meeting you, kisses, young biz.

 Benjamin, website resp (very charming).
