ASINSA

Dear prospective student, if you’re interested in the Asian program at INSA Lyon, welcome! The ASINSA program is highly culturally diverse, with about two-thirds of the students coming from China and Vietnam. Numerous exchanges take place throughout the year and allow you to gain knowledge about other countries’ cultures, languages, and work methods. In this program, you’ll also be able to improve your Chinese and Japanese skills (there are courses starting at the beginner level). These classes don’t require a lot of homework and aren’t very complicated—don’t worry! Plus, in the second semester, you’ll take theater classes instead of a subject that’s much less fun for everyone else (and this is the only track that does that!).

At the same time, the ASINSA office organizes numerous events throughout the year, such as the Wok (the ASINSA weekend), the Flam’s, and the Asian Week show. This is a week that celebrates cultures from all over Asia and features two evenings of performances with amazing showcases of song, dance, martial arts… A unique opportunity within the program is an event called the Spring School! Basically, you get to spend about ten days exploring China! A little trip with your friends during the April break—it’s the stuff of dreams! To top it all off, you’ll have the chance to complete your end-of-year work placement (required in the first year) in an Asian country!
