Student Life at INSA
You may already know this, but INSA offers an incredible range of student clubs, with over 130 on campus. Whatever your passions and (future) interests—from sports and culture to community service, science, or reading—there’s truly something for everyone! It’s IMPOSSIBLE that you won’t find at least one club that’s right for you: whether you want to become an oenologist (an expert in magic potions), go skiing with your adventurous friends, organize a festival, make movies, become a DJ to get the jungle animals dancing, or try your hand at cheerleading… Nothing is impossible in the rainforest!

Want to master the art of photography or videography as well as an explorer masters deciphering ancient scrolls? Head over to Graines d’Images (@grainesdimages) or La mouette (@cinelamouette).
For the aspiring painters (or artists in general) among us: Les Lézarts (@lezarts_insa)
Want to put your snake-charming skills to use? Basically, music fans: l’AMI (@ami_insa_lyon), KLS (@kls_lyon), or la Band’as (@michelbandas) are perfect for you.
For a bit of computer science (an improved version of Aztec math): Cod’insa @cod.insa.
If you want to write amazing manuscripts: check out L’insatiable (@insa_tiable_) (the INSA newspaper) or the manga club (@insabdmangas) for some reading.
Lyon is right next to the slopes—doesn’t that make you want to go skiing? You can join the Ski Club (@ski_club_insa) as a staff member to help tune skis, or just come along for weekend outings!
And one last one for the road: if you want to get involved in event planning, you might be interested in the 24h de l’INSA (@24heuresinsa), the Bal (@balinsalyon), or the Gala (@gala_insalyon).
And again, these are just a few examples! When you arrive on campus, you’ll be given a guide listing all the available clubs, and there will be a fair to introduce them all at the start of the year! But if you’re too impatient (I can understand), here’s a link where you can spend hours and hours reading all the info on every club available… or just browse through the ones that might interest you:
› The K-Party
Otherwise, there’s a mystical spot right next to the Student Union (MdE) where all the adventurers had the best time last year—and you’ll be hearing a lot about it: the divine and legendary K-Fêt! It’s the perfect place to unwind after an exam (or even before, for those who aren’t averse to a drink). This student bar is truly the perfect place to unwind with your friends; you can chill out and chat on the couches upstairs, dance downstairs, or sip on a drink (water-based, of course).
